Update June 2025

The Molecular Biophysics Database (https://mbdb-data.org/) is ready for researchers using MST, ITC, BLI and SPR to deposit their raw measurement data with appropriate details about the actual experimental conditions. Deposition requires ORCID authentication, raw measurement files and details about target molecules, chemistry, and conditions of the measurements at hand. Once successfully reviewed by MBDB staff the status of the record is changed to “accepted” and the depositor decides when the data set is published, together with minting its DOI identifier.

MBDB is seeking reviewers of the individual types of data sets and a half-time back-end programmer. You can contact us at .

Inspired by the lack of options to deposit, search, retrieve and reuse raw experimental data from molecular biophysics techniques we have built the Molecular Biophysics Database – mbdb-data.org.

Raw data from microscale thermophoresis, biolayer interferometry, surface plasmon resonance and isothermal calorimetry can be currently stored with rich metadata annotation. Each approved and published record receives a permanent DOI identifier which you can refer to on your publication

You are invited to deposit your next data sets from MST, BLI, SPR, and ITC to mbdb-data.org and make them permanently accessible for you and the community.

We welcome your input regarding MBDB and bug reports/suggestions at .
