The Instruct Biennial Structural Biology Conference (IBSBC) showcases the latest in integrative structural biology from leading scientists across the world.
The 5th Instruct Biennial Structural Biology Conference will be held at Utrecht in the Netherlands, from 19 – 20 May 2022. The theme of the 2022 conference is:
Changes in Structural Biology: Challenges in Studying Dynamics
The conference will explore new cutting-edge developments in structural biology, including the emerging methods and technologies that are helping scientists to decipher complex biomolecular dynamics.
After three virtual editions, the 8th NovAliX Conference Biophysics in Drug Discovery is back and scheduled for May 9-11, 2022 in the fantastic city of Munich, Germany. Virtual participation will also be possible!
This basic-level training school is aimed at biologists, immunologists, pharmacologists, biochemists, structural biologists, etc., who want to improve their skills in quality control of protein samples, and more specifically on the analysis and optimization of their samples for a variety of downstream applications. The objective is to help warranting more productive, robust and reproducible research by applying quality control pipelines systematically to all purified protein samples.
The course will cover different biochemical and biophysical techniques such as chromatography, dynamic and static light scattering, viscometry, circular dichroism, mass spectrometry, and differential scanning fluorimetry. Hands on training will be provided on basic quality control of purified proteins, as well as on buffer and storage optimization. Trainees will be allowed to bring their own samples to use during the practical sessions. These sessions will be complemented with dry practical tutorials on purification strategies as well as on the choice of molecular-scale biophysical measurements to complement their studies.

The “Nanoengineering for Mechanobiology” (N4M) symposia, are a recurring event organized in early spring in Camogli, a little fishermen village on the Italian coast, close to the port of Genova and the area of Portofino and Cinque Terre. N4M aims to bring together, in an informal context, great scientists from all over the world, exploiting nanoengineering tools to address fascinating mechanobiology problems. The ivory tower atmosphere of the location offers an ideal environment to discuss new ideas and meet companies offering cutting-edge technological tools in the field.
The Integrative Structural Biology Meeting is organized by the Association Française de Cristallographie and the Société Française de Biophysique together. BSI 2021 is the second edition of the meeting. The goal is to strengthen the links between the structural biology and biophysical communities.
The meeting will take place at the Centrale Supelec new building, located on the Saclay plateau.

The 5th Edition of the “Biomolecular interaction analysis: From molecules to cells” course has been running since 2012. The current edition of this EMBO practical course will take place in a virtual format next October 25-29 and will include as always many moments of interaction, analysis of samples from participants and hands on practice through remote access to the equipment and a strong focus on data analysis workflows.
The course is organized integrating biophysical methodologies with live cell microscopy techniques. In this new format the course will include pre-recorded talks/tutorials made available before the course including introduction to the technologies, equipment and best practices. Practical sessions will focus on sample preparation, experimental design and execution and various data analysis workflows.
Application deadline: September 24
